A new "Healthcare Worker Exposure Response & Outcomes (HERO) Registry," of which the ACC is a part, aims to understand the perspectives and problems faced by workers on the COVID-19 pandemic front lines.

The HERO Registry is free and completely voluntary and open to all health care professionals, including nurses, therapists, physicians, emergency responders and others working in a setting where people receive health care.

After creating a profile on the registry, participants can choose to participate in surveys and receive invitations to future clinical trials.

The HERO research program is funded through a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute Award and is coordinated by the Duke Clinical Research Institute.

NCDR Management Board Chair and Chief Scientific Advisor Frederick A. Masoudi, MD, MSPH, FACC, sits on the HERO Steering Committee.
