Leadership Skills

There is much research, as well as many models, defining core leadership skills and how they might translate to cardiovascular professionals. The concepts of transformation, implementation and communication are the common threads across most of the studies and models.

Transformation includes strategic thinking, leading and accelerating change, innovating and motivating others.

Implementation focuses on organizing people, projects and tasks towards a focused objective in order to achieve a clearly set goal.

Communication focuses on emotional intelligence, active listening, participative decision making, team development and conflict management.
