Non-physician members of the cardiovascular care team can choose between two tiers of membership:

  • Reserved for nationally board-certified cardiovascular professionals, Associate of the ACC (AACC) is among the most distinguished of credentials offered by the College. It signals to patients and peers alike your advanced training, education and commitment to the highest level of cardiovascular care.
  • Not board-certified? Become a Cardiovascular (CV) Team member. You get access to all the same great educational and networking benefits.

CV Team

Qualified Professionals

Membership is open to the following professionals:

  • Clinical Nurse Specialists
  • Physician Assistants
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Clinical Pharmacists
  • Registered Nurses
  • Cardiovascular Technologists* (Sonographers**, Electrophysiology Specialists**, Invasive Specialists**, Vascular Specialists**)
  • Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Professionals (Clinical Psychologists, Clinical Social Workers, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Registered Dietitians)
  • Genetic Counselors

*Currently, Cardiovascular Technologists can apply only for CV Team membership
**Certified by Cardiovascular Credentialing International or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Annual Dues

US/Canada Associate of the ACC: $137
Application Fee: $25

Membership Criteria

  • Hold a current state licensure
  • Hold a nationally recognized board certification**
  • Spend the majority of your professional time in the cardiovascular field
  • Be employed in a practice that is primarily (at least 75%) cardiovascular-focused
  • Have been committed to cardiovascular practice for five years or more

What you need to apply:

  • Two letters of sponsorship from current FACC or AACC members
    • Sponsors should be well acquainted with the applicant’s professional activities.
    • The letters should be originally written, on the sponsor’s business letterhead and highlight the applicant’s professional accomplishments and why the applicant warrants the AACC designation.
  • Proof of board certification
  • License number

*Current CV Team members with an up-to-date membership pay only the application fee to advance to AACC. The standard AACC rate would apply for the subsequent dues year.
