ACC Program in Japan Kicks-Off to Increase Stroke Prevention, Improve CV Patient Care

The ACC has officially launched a cardiovascular disease education and awareness program in Japan, "train-the-trainer," to bolster national efforts to better identify and diagnose patients at risk of stroke and improve education around the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AFib). The "train-the-trainer" program, jointly administered by the ACC and local cardiovascular societies in Japan, will teach cardiologists across the country how to educate primary care physicians on the risk factors and treatment strategies for AFib. The first series of the program kicked-off on Friday, Feb. 16 at Kagawa Prefecture, and will continue at various locations in Japan throughout the spring. The program aims to reach thousands of doctors across Japan and ensure patients with AFib continue to receive the best possible care. Read more.
