Call For Applications
The ACC is currently accepting applications for the Fuster Prevention Forum. This exclusive educational experience honors the legacy of Valentin Fuster, MD, PhD, MACC, by shaping the next generation of cardiovascular clinicians who are not only healers but also educators, advocates, and community leaders – empowered to prevent cardiovascular disease from its earliest origins through education, engagement, and community action.
This educational experience will take place on June 12-13, 2026, at Heart House in Washington, DC. In addition, participants will be invited to participate in a follow-up webinar 3 – 6 months after the course to review progress in developing community-based programs, assess utilization of available tools, and discuss successes and areas for improvement.
Submit your application by Dec. 8 at 11:59 p.m. ET for the opportunity to join a select group of learners.
Course Goals
The Fuster Prevention Forum, chaired by Pamela Bowe Morris, MD, FACC, and Edward T. A. Fry, MD, MACC, aims to equip clinicians with a strong scientific foundation in primordial prevention and evidence supporting early-life interventions. Participants in the Fuster Prevention Forum will gain practical tools and frameworks to educate children, parents, and educators on nutrition, physical activity, and emotional well-being. The course also focuses on fostering the skills and confidence necessary to develop sustainable, community-based prevention initiatives while cultivating a collaborative network of clinicians committed to advancing a culture of prevention in schools and communities.
Participants who complete the course will be recognized as Experts in Primordial Prevention and will return to their communities equipped with curriculum materials, digital content, and practical toolkits to implement change.
