The Rick Nishimura, MD, MACC & Patrick T. O'Gara, MD, MACC Emerging Faculty Leadership Academy course is designed for the intermediate level educator to elevate educational and presentation skills through immersive, hands-on learning. You will build upon the foundational principles of adult learning by delivering enhanced content to engage your audience and allow for dynamic learning. The course enriches your ability to further define and craft your teaching style in a feedback-oriented setting focused on improving effectiveness among growth-minded colleagues and experienced educators.
Graduates of the course will be considered for participation in the ACC Educator: Advanced Concepts course and recognized by ACC leadership as exceptional candidates for future educational opportunities and committee service — an ideal pathway for those looking to deepen their involvement with the College.

Interested Applicants must submit:
Physician candidates must be a Fellow or Associate Fellow of the ACC in good standing who have not yet attained the academic rank of professor.
Cardiovascular Care Clinician candidates must be Fellow of the ACC, Associate of the ACC, or Cardiovascular Care Team member of the ACC.
Selection will be based on exceptional talent and dedication to developing educational experiences. Applicants will be evaluated based on level of involvement in peer education at their home institution, their ACC state chapter, and/or the national level (e.g. ACC Annual Scientific Session). The Emerging Faculty Leadership Academy Planning Committee will review all applications and make the final selection of participants.
