ACC Educator
Fundamental Skills

The Fundamental Skills course, designed for Fellows in Training and cardiovascular team members with three to five years of educator experience, will equip you with tools and resources to create impactful educational experiences. You'll gain hands-on learning and personalized feedback to strengthen your clinical educator skills.

Throughout the course, you'll participate in dynamic, practical exercises that sharpen your presentation techniques and empower you to create meaningful, interactive educational experiences.

Course Details

  • PriceThe ACC will cover participants' tuition, hotel accommodation, and most meals. Participants or their institutionwill be responsible for travel expenses to/ from Heart House in Washington, DC.

Eligibility Criteria

Fellows in Training (FITs)

FITs currently in an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship or FITs that have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiovascular disease fellowship program and are currently in a cardiovascular medicine related sub-specialty fellowship program.

Cardiovascular Care Team Members

Cardiovascular care team members who have 3-5 years of educator experience in any discipline within cardiovascular medicine patient care.

Selection Criteria and Process

Selection will be based on exceptional talent and a strong commitment to developing teaching skills. The ACC Educator: Fundamental Skills Planning Committee will review all applications and make final participant decisions.

Please note that while multiple Fellows in Training (FITs) and cardiovascular care team members from the same institution may apply, we aim to foster diversity in participant experiences. Therefore, it is unlikely that more than one FIT and one CV team member from any single institution will be accepted.
