Science of Process Improvement
ACC Accreditation Services are grounded in the science of process improvement – an ongoing effort to identify and improve processes at a given hospital or facility. It requires an understanding of “change” and the ability to accept that change is inevitable, mistakes will occur, and whatever is done can always be done more efficiently. In addition, the continuous stream of new research requires hospitals and facilities to stay abreast of any changes in evidence-based care to improve patient outcomes. Accreditation programs help hospitals recognize gaps in care and track progress towards improved patient outcomes. Learn more at Accreditation.ACC.org.
