Heart failure is a significant global epidemic; however, there may be sex-related differences in the epidemiology, pathophysiology, risk factors, and outcomes. To highlight the latest and most impactful science from the growing body of literature on this topic, JACC: Heart Failure will publish a new special issue in September of this year. Papers addressing the topic in the form of original research, clinical trials, meta-analysis, research letters, implementation perspectives, leading-edge commentaries, or position statements from societies or advocacy groups are welcome.
